From SmartyMeet to SmartyTalent: new name, same mission

Why the change? (and why it makes sense)

We launched in 2022 as SmartyMeet, close to the conversation and communication layer. Meanwhile, the market exploded. Monday, 09:12. A recruiter opens the ATS and sees 438 applications. After three hours of manual screening they’ve got… a list of questions, not a shortlist. That’s when a simple truth emerges: our problem isn’t “meet,” it’s selection. Differences in evaluation and the volume of inbound applications drain team time — that was our “aha” moment. (High volume + divergent scoring = wasted hours; Boe automates pre-screening and unifies the rules so teams can focus on the TOP 20% of candidates.)

SmartyTalent better reflects the category we operate in and clearly communicates value to buyers: shorter time to shortlist and higher-quality decisions at scale.

We build trust from the regulatory layer up. Transparent AI, compliance with the EU AI Act (high-risk systems) and GDPR (privacy-by-design) are part of the architecture, not an afterthought.

Social proof? Clients tell us that with Boe, their teams have more time for relationships and spotting hidden gems — feedback we hear from leaders at large organizations (e.g., Decathlon).

What’s next? We’re starting with a collaboration with Microsoft on LLM fine-tuning for recruitment — the core of our precision. In 2026 we’ll roll out automated phone screening.

What we’ve actually built
Boe — the AI that separates signal from noise

  • ~80% of applications that don’t meet criteria are filtered automatically; the recruiter focuses on the TOP 20%.
  • Every recommendation is explained and visible at the candidate level, with a PDF report always available.
  • Multilingual (up to 20 languages) with candidate-to-role requirement comparison based on the defined role persona.
What changes — and what stays the same
  • The name and identity change. We communicate as SmartyTalent — a name that says “what we do” and “who we do it for.”
  • The essentials remain — ATS integrations, security standards, a transparent AI philosophy and Boe, the assistant mascot.

That’s why SmartyMeet gives way to SmartyTalent. The new name tells the truth about the product and the market we serve: the standard for talent selection.
